Chiropractic Studies

Fun with Studies!
It’s always fun to look at what some of the studies have shown in regards to chiropractic medicine. These are a few that look at topics that are not commonly associated with chiropractic:
Shown to help keep senior citizens – who are known to have balance issues chiefly due to many types of immobility – with mobility and activity. Comparing those senior citizens who are chiropractic patients to those that are not, it was found that those with treatment were more active and mobile. There are several other factors at play here, but it does leave some food for thought.
Increased anti-oxidants in the body: those suffering from pain had their blood labs taken, in which after chiropractic treatment there were significantly increased anti-oxidant levels. Similar studies have shown improvements to immune system response and blood pressure levels as well.
Pregnancy: shown to be very safe and successful with helping the pain associated with pregnancy. Most common is back pain, but there are several other areas that are painful during pregnancy. One study found that 9/10 women had relief after receiving chiropractic care for pregnancy-related back pain.
These are just a few more areas that most do not associate with chiropractic care, but may find it helpful. More stuff to come when Holidays are over! -Dr. J
